Last week Kodak announced it will discontinue production of famous Kodachrome film, an icon for films in the past 74 years.
Sales for this product is said to be so low (less than 1%) that the product has reached end of life.

SanDisk has announced the world's fastest 32GB SDHC card compliant to the new specifications for fast SDHC (formely "Class 10"):
- read and write speed up to 30 megabytes per second;
- recording of up to 160 minutes of full HD video (1920x1080 pixels) sustaining an impressive 24 Mb/s data transfer speed.
The new card should be available by next August.
Adobe has released Lightroom 2.4 update together with Adobe Camera Raw 5.4 plugin for Photoshop.

Canon USA has released the update of firmware for Canon EOS 5D Mark II to version 1.1.0.
This update is very interesting because it adds the possibility of manual exposure control during video capture - very rarely Canon adds functionality in firmware update, differently than more generous Nikon approach.

Canon has released a service notice for its high end EOS-1D Mark III and EOS-1Ds Mark III DSLRs models.
Basically, some drops of oil from the mirror box can reach the Low Pass Filter in front of the CMOS causing ring shaped halos.
Affected owners can have the camera serviced for free (of course).
