Canon USA has released the update of firmware for Canon EOS 5D Mark II to version 1.1.0.
This update is very interesting because it adds the possibility of manual exposure control during video capture - very rarely Canon adds functionality in firmware update, differently than more generous Nikon approach.
Specifically aperture, shutter speed and (equivalent) ISO can be set, including Auto ISO.
Interestingly, the manual exposure movies can be shot in tethered mode connected to a PC with EOS Utility, though remote control of exposure is not (yet?) possible.
The update also fixes vignetting control ("peripheral illumination correction" in JPG), auto-lighting optimizer, battery data display and the behavior of depth-of-field preview button (disabled when images are played back or the menu screen is displayed).
