Risulta castrata sul fronte video e non so se i limiti descritti possano esser superati con qualche semplice upgrade futuro del firmware. A mio avviso risulta quindi difficile da consigliare ai videomaker vista l'abbondanza sul mercato. Diverso il discorso per chi lavora prettamente con la fotografia e non ha nessuna voglia di cambiare il proprio parco lenti, grazie agli adattatori si tengono infatti spalancate le porte delle tantissime ottiche EF.

Con un sensore da 30 MP, una fantastica riproduzione dei colori e auto-focus sul sensore, la EOS R può produrre belle foto con fuoco accurato. Ma è la prima mirrorless pieno formato Canon e per molti aspetti questo si vede. L'ergonomia sembra non completa e per più o meno lo stesso costo, si può trovare video migliore, più gamma dinamica e raffica più veloce. Ma bisogna ammettere che i nuovi obiettivi RF sono semplicemente spettacolari.- Camera Labs
