8.4/10
It is a solid wide-angle prime for users of the company's GFX camera bodies. It's sharp wide-open and only gets sharper as you stop down a bit, it's built really well and it makes for a nice walk-around lens for all types of photography. Bokeh and sunstars aren't always the strongest, and ghosting artifacts with the sun in the frame can be a bit much. But we think its qualities outshine its shortcomings. - Imaging Resource
Good build quality, cCompact and lightweight design, very good resolving power. It can't focus very closely, maximum aperture of f/3.5 can occasionally be limiting. - Imaging Resource
The GF 30mm f/3.5 R WR lens is a very good lens [...] Impressive build quality and overall feel, Very good image quality, Quick autofocus.
