Micro Four Thirds mount
Micro Four Thirds system was introduced in 2008 initially in a Panasonic camera and then several other companies like Olympus adopted it.
It was born for mirrorless cameras only (not DLSR) but taken image sensor size and specifications from the Four Thirds format defined by Olympus and Kodak for DSLRs.
In February 2020 three companies joined MFT standard: Yongnuo, Mediaedge and Venus Optics.
In February 2022 the Chinese manufacturer TTArtisan announced to join the MFT bandwagon.
