Adobe is submitting the DNG (Digital NeGative) format to ISO (the International Standard Organization) in order to make it a standard and spread its adoption.

DNG is defined by Adobe and is aimed to define a lossless format for storing images, especially RAW that are proprietary and different from vendor to vendor and often depend also on camera model.

At the beginning of this week Adobe updated the DNG format to version 1.2 and also the Vista codec for DNG.
